Day 6: night hike + telescopeSaturn has rings. You will see them with your own eyeballs and make a noise about it.
Day 9: robot sumoYour robot against their robot in a circle of tape, and the crowd goes feral.
Day 12: THE EGG DROPForty feet of empty air, one egg, and whatever you managed to build between them.

Camp Supernova is a two-week day camp in South Lake Tahoe run by credentialed science teachers. Ratio 1:6, all staff first-aid certified and background-checked. Hover the loud column and this one answers.
Water rockets on a public field with a 30 m exclusion zone. Kids graph three launches and revise their fin design between each.
Sugar caramelization and baking-soda volcanoes. Nothing hotter than a stovetop; heat-resistant gloves worn throughout.
Optional evening session with our 10-inch Dobsonian, 19:30 to 21:30. Parent pickup at the trailhead; hot chocolate is included and non-negotiable.
Pre-built chassis, block-based coding. Losing gracefully is practiced explicitly, twice.
Materials budget, weigh-in, public test. Every child presents their design for one minute. It is the single best thing we do.
